Ignacio Melero’s research group at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), in Pamplona Spain, is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Postdoctoral position. Led by Prof. Melero, the translational immunotherapy laboratory focuses on studying and developing new immunotherapeutic strategies for cancer.

Our work is mainly translational, involving clinical research related to clinical trials and preclinical models in close collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. The specific scope of research will focus on crosspriming and crosspresentation of tumor cell antigens.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, execution and analysis of preclinical experiments with advanced immunotherapy products. The role will also involve coordination of research conducted with samples collected from clinical trials and analysis and interpretation of the resulting data.

Duties to be performed: Under the direction of a supervisor, the candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Manipulation, decision making and analysis of experiments in mouse models.
• Handling of cellular immunology techniques (mouse and human).
• Preparation, processing and analysis of preclinical experiments with immunotherapeutic treatments in oncology.
• Perform RNA-seq assays, nanostring analysis, TCR clonality studies and in vivo death assays in collaboration with central facilities.
• Follow-up of clinical trial samples in oncology using flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, RT-PCR and multiplex tissue immunofluorescence assays.
